Take up the Super Scarecrow Street Challenge

This is your chance to team up with your NEIGHBOURS, COLLEAGUES or COMMUNITY GROUP/CLUB and dive into the thrill of planning something truly extraordinary and construct your very own Super Scarecrow Street.

Each year we are blown away by the creativity and spirit of our participants as Bothwell’s streets are transformed into a spectacular Scarecrow showcase.

In 2023 saw new streets taking part and many new themes of scarecrows popping up. We found that those communities taking part in the challenge really enjoyed the shared community involvement and felt that the experience had greatly strengthened friendships among neighbours of all ages, making their area an even more special place to live.

Starter Pack

When you register as a street, part of a street, business or community group/club you will receive a SCARECROW STARTER PACK to set you off:

• Super Scarecrow Street competitor banner
• A bottle of Bubbly (or a non-alcoholic alternative if preferred)
• Stakes and slats for your first 3 scarecrows
• Straws for the stuffing for your first 3 scarecrows
• A leaflet providing help and guidance for scarecrow design & build.

You be the Judge…

The Bothwell community will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite entries in our Super Scarecrow Street categories via an ONLINE POLL. Keep an eye on our social media pages for more information during the Scarecrow Festival. So watch out on the Bothwell Scarecrow Festival FACEBOOK PAGE for information nearer the time.
