This year we have two exciting cycle ride options from which you can choose, depending on your cycling ability. You might even be able to do both!
Sunday 27th August 2017 at 10.00am
Bothwell Community Garden
This is a new event and our purpose is to promote safe cycling on public roads, and to encourage those people with a decent bike in the garage, to make use of it and have some fun.
It will be organised and supervised by representatives of the Royal Albert Cycling Club. The club has years of experience of safe cycling and completed thousands on Roads throughout GB and Europe
The cycle ride will start in Bothwell at The community Garden, on Blantyre Road. We meet in time for a start at 10.00am on Sunday 27th August.
We will cycle to the Glasgow Velodrome and spend 30/40 minutes viewing the facilities; there might even be an opportunity to have a go. We will return to our start point for debriefing and a relaxing hot drink. Total ride about 20 miles
This is an opportunity to cycle in a group of cyclists with mixed experience: our leader will be experienced cyclist John Campbell.
Those taking part should have a road-bike or hybrid, and a helmet.
