Option 1: On Road Cycle Ride
Meet at Bothwell Community Garden
Sunday, 9 September 2018 • 10.00am
This is our second year for this event. Our purpose is to promote safe cycling on public roads, and to encourage those people with a decent bike in the garage, to make use of it and have some fun.
It will be organised and supervised by representatives of the Royal Albert Cycling Club. The club has years of experience of safe cycling and completed thousands on Roads throughout GB and Europe.
The cycle ride will start in Bothwell at The community Garden, on Blantyre Road. We meet in time for a start at 10.00am on Sunday 9th August.
We will cycle to Kaldis restaurant, Baillieston (about 20 miles) where we will rest and enjoy a sandwich snack. We then return to our start point for debriefing and a relaxing hot drink. Total ride about 28 miles.
This is an opportunity to cycle in a group of cyclists with mixed experience: John Campbell our leader, knows how to handle this.
Those taking part should have a road-bike or hybrid, and a helmet.

Meet us at the Bothwell Community Garden at 1.30pm to join other cyclists on a ride around Bothwell and Uddingston, using the local Sustrans cycle routes.
